Kanye West changed the way we listen to popular music and influenced me to be different. For one of my University assignments I redesigned 2 of Kanyes vinyl covers. The album Ye by Kanye West was the one I choose, first I had to redesign the album cover as the current genre which is hip hop than the other design is a rock album cover which is a lot darker. The rock album I wanted to illustrate that the album is not light hearted listen, choosing black and red, red to articulate blood and gore. The hip hop album design is dark as it has Kanye hanging by a noose but wearing a superman costume proudly. showing two sides of Kanye which in the album he talks about having bipolar and killing his ego in his song I thought about killing you.
